Anatta: Non-self; the teaching that there is no permanent, unchanging self or soul.

Anicca: Impermanence; the characteristic of all conditioned existence.

Arhat: "Worthy one"; one who has achieved liberation from suffering in Theravada Buddhism.

Awakening: Enlightenment; the realization of the true nature of reality.

Bodhi: Enlightenment; awakening to the true nature of reality.
